Maximilian Steinlechner

Golf has a been part of my life since early childhood.

Born in 1999 in Innsbruck and raised in a sports-loving family, I discovered my passion for golf at a young age. I won my first tournament at the age of five – the beginning of a journey that took me from a promising junior golfer in Tyrol to the Austrian national team and ultimately to the international professional circuit.

From 2009 to 2013, I was a member of the Tyrolean Regional Golf Team, competing in national junior tournaments across Austria and from 2014 to 2023, I represented Austria as a member of the National Golf Team. During this time, I competed in numerous national and international junior and men’s tournaments, achieving many notable successes. In 2019, I graduated from the Sport-BORG (sports-focused high school) in Innsbruck and reached 11th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking WAGR.

My journey then took me to the United States, where I studied at North Carolina State University and competed for four years in NCAA Division I as part of the NC State Wolfpack Men’s Golf Team. During my collegiate career, I was named an Honorable Mention All-American, selected to the All-ACC Academic Golf Team, and included in the GCAA All-East Region Team.

In May 2023, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance and finished 20th in the PGA TOUR University Final Ranking.

Since June 2023, I have been competing internationally as a professional golfer.
